The deadline for providing input on how ANR’s reorganized administrative functions and units are working for you has been extended to Friday, Nov. 18.
The short survey, created by ANR’s Administrative Review Council (ARC), focuses on the functions of three service units:
- Staff Personnel Unit
- Business Operations Center
- Contracts and Grants Unit
Please complete as many of the questions/sections as possible based on the services that you use from these administrative service units. You may skip questions or an entire section if it does not apply, or you may select “NA” from the drop-down menu.

Over the past year, ANR administrative functions have been redesigned and reorganized with the key objective to better serve our programs and operations. A key strategy in this effort has been to consolidate administrative functions and units to create efficiencies and streamline where possible to save administrative costs. These reorganizations have significantly standardized processes, enhanced internal controls and provided savings—savings that have allowed ANR to reinvest in academic programming and positions that align with ANR’s Strategic Vision.

I am pleased to provide the ANR Staff Merit Program Guidelines (below), which contain the program parameters as well as the merit increase table for non-represented staff in the MSP and PSS personnel programs. Merit increases are effective retroactive to July 1, 2011.

A year ago Associate Vice President for Business Operations Kay Harrison Taber charged a new committee to guide the training coordination process, develop a comprehensive training calendar, and develop priority trainings for ANR academics and staff.
The committee is led by Linda Marie Manton of the Staff Personnel Unit, Kim Rodrigues of the Academic Personnel Unit, and Mike Poe from Communication Services and Information Technology.
